Special Needs Alert Form
The Special Needs Alert Program is a voluntary program that is designed to aid officers in identifying and interacting with individuals with special needs. The program started in the school and is primarily used with students receiving special education services however, it can also be used for other residents within the City of Glendale. Officers are encouraged to inform individuals and/or their guardians/caregivers of the Special Needs Alert Program when they encounter situations that involve individuals who display limited cognitive, communicative, and behavioral abilities that interfere with the interaction with that individual. Individuals interested in the program should be given a form and advised to complete it and return it to the Glendale Police Department.
